Pluralism is not passive tolerance; it is disciplined, spiritual attention to difference. Attention is the spiritual muscle that makes pluralism possible. There is a difference between noticing and paying attention. Paying attention requires intention and real-life, practical curiosity, which, when rooted in love, allows difference to become a strength rather than a division.
