Bring Your Whole Self:
Your Identity, Your Mind, Your Heart

Become a member of our community and experience our unbounded spirituality, which draws on scripture, science, nature, philosophy, personal experience, and ancient tradition.

If you are looking for a spiritual community in Norwich where you do not have to check your background and beliefs at the door, you’ve come to the right place. At the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Norwich, we offer a nurturing atmosphere where people from all walks of life can deepen their spiritual lives while joining us on a journey that honors everywhere you’ve been before. We encourage you to continue your journey toward the spiritual life you want to lead.

To foster a well-rounded congregation, we host several speakers and discuss various topics throughout the year. We invite you to learn more about us by browsing our website, reading our service descriptions, and listening to posted Sermon audio.

Services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am – weather permitting – from September through June.

Our Vision

We welcome fellow seekers to consider life’s big questions and share our loving community.

We are a spiritually inspired urban community of caring people. We derive strength from our diversity, work for human dignity everywhere, and provide a strong voice for social justice in the greater Norwich area. None of us has final answers to the central questions of life, but we are committed to the process of seeking truth and meaning.

We inquire and worship together, learn through respectful religious dialog, and draw upon the spiritual wisdom of every tradition, from every corner of the globe.

Church Location

One of our primary goals is to make our church as accessible to as many people as possible. We are meeting in person and via Zoom – in-person participants and visitors may wear a mask or face covering during services.

Service Time

Feel free to join us any Sunday morning – we’d love to have you! Our weekly Sunday service begins at 10:00 am from September through June. As you plan your visit, you can bring your favorite beverage (tea, coffee, juice, etc) and a snack if you wish. We dress comfortably for services (see the Dress Code note below).
Parking Area (s)

Our new location at 67 – 69 Main Street offers parking on both sides of the street, and in the Parking Garage right across the street.

As you face the building, our worship space is on the right side through the door marked ‘Worship’ – we’d love to see you!

Dress Code

We are not overly formal–most people wear what’s comfortable for them and what works for the current weather conditions. If you are used to “dressing up” for church and are comfortable with that, by all means, dress up!

Most people attended our live services in “business casual” clothing. Please observe the bounds of decency when choosing your attire for services.
